Daniel Tani who has been on the space station since October 23 got news on Wednesday that his 90 year old mother Rose Tani was killed in an car accident in Lombard, Ill. Rose Tani had stopped behind a school bus while train gates were coming down when she tried to go around the bus and gates. Kids on the bus said it looked like she got stuck on the tracks and stopped when the train hit her.
Daniel Tani made the 100Th space walk on Tuesday. We are very sorry for his loss.
