Peter Jackson, our beloved "Earth-Bound Hobbit", is said to be able to begin working on the film The Hobbit, which is the prequel to The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, in 2009. The movie is expected to be completed in 2010.
They will also be making a film due out in 2011 that will closely tie in the relationship between the end of The Hobbit and the beginning of the Trilogy.
